NFL Season down the Drain

Well we are fast approaching the end of another dismal season of NFL football here in the sunshine state of Ohio. As I predicted the Clowns AKA Browns lost a heart breaker to the Arizona team who wanted the win more than the Seneca Wallace led Clowns.

Just in case you did not watch the game, as I said if Seneca Wallace started at quarter back the team would have to do better than with Dolt McCoy. First of all the 9 years of experience has to be a factor, also I tend to believe that this team rallies around somebody that can actually throw the ball to our wide receivers, did you notice there seem to be a lot less drops. The running of Peyton Hillis was once again a factor, I look for the Clowns to maybe draft a running back to compliment Hillis, however I would not be surprised if they traded Hillis away for a meaningless draft pick. I am not thrilled with Mike Holmgren or Pat Shurmur neither one has shown me anything, I do believe the Clowns will draft a quarter back to groom because they can see that Dolt McCoy is not the answer , they do not want to give Seneca Wallace a chance at the starting QB job because he just might prove them wrong in the front office.

Once again the defense led by Jackson, Gocong, Rubin, Sheard,Taylor played better than I hoped, alas the secondary continues to give up the big play allowing the wide receivers to get open way to many times. I do believe that if they make up contracts for these skilled players that would say if the fellow you are working against per game has more than a certain yardage in a game you do not get paid, or you get paid a lot less. I do think you would see a difference, allowing wide receivers a cushion is suicidal, as I said before I am not a good football player, however I played defense and offense in high school, I played in the secondary, our coach said if you Knock the person you are guarding down on his butt they have a hard time running in a sitting position. Now the NFL has a rule about 5 yards, but you can pretty much do what you wish prior to that, but you cannot use a baseball bat.

Now I am going to tell you that if you think that the Clowns are going to beat up on the Baltimore Ravens, then please tell me What you are smoking so I can get some to. I do think that Seneca Wallace, Hillis and the team will play a close game, but alas they will lose by perhaps a touchdown or more. I keep hoping I am wrong, I have get back to reality and say Baltimore beat Pittsburgh twice. So always remember there is always next year to rebuild and rebuild and rebuild sooner or later we might get it right. Look out Cosmic bowl 2050 here come the Clowns.
