Past the half way point

Here we are at one game beyond the half way mark of the NFL season, the Cleveland Browns (clowns) are in the basement as they always are. My prediction of them being 5 and 11 is looking real good.

It is sad for me to watch them on TV, while most teams are looking for a way to win the clowns are looking for a way to loose, if you did not see last week’s game, there was a last minute field goal that was a chip shot, oh a sure thing for a team that wants to win. However the clowns managed to screw it up and they lost to a 1 and 7 team.

Now first of all Mike Holmgren should be fired , he may be a good coach, but he is a lousy president, did anyone mention Obama, he should be fired also. Now Pat Shurmur is no more a head NFL coach, then Jubilee Dunbar was a wide receiver. If you do not recall that was a draft choice of the Cleveland Browns they said he was going to be another Lynn Swan, yeah right.

I was not a Brady Quinn fan, but this McCoy kid could not hit a barn if he was inside, then again we don’t have any wide receivers that are seven to eight feet tall. Our offensive line is just that offensive, outside of Joe Thomas and Mack the center the others are cast offs. Our best running back Hillis is benched because he wants more money, Hardesty is by far a joke, he could not run through a paper bag.

The defense is fair, however a real good quarter back eats them up, and a good running back shows the problems in the line, plus the linebackers who do not understand how to tackle. No you cannot toss your body in front of a good running back in hopes of him falling down.

When I was young I had season tickets to the Browns (Clowns), now a day’s people have offered me tickets to a game, I said no thanks I meet enough losers in my day to day activities.

Here is what I would do if I owned the Cleveland Browns, fire Mike Holmgren, Pat Shurmur, trade Colt McCoy to anybody that will give you a good draft pick, use you backup quarter back till you can find a great quarterback that someone thinks is washed up. Hire the ex-coach that ran the Steelers even if you had to give him 50% of the team for life, he is a winner.

I am getting to old to care about if the browns ever have a 500 season, at this point I feel sorry for the young fans, perhaps when the super bowl turns into the cosmic bowl the browns might have a good team, do not tell anyone I said that.
